What you need to know about the seminar

INTRODUCTION

Created by Dr. Łukasz Bortnik and Dr. David Rhodes, experts in elite football performance (Premier League, Bundesliga, Serie A, LaLiga, MLS, etc.), this course delivers a practical, science-based framework for modern physical preparation — primarily pitch-based, but also including gym work. Unlike traditional programs, it is intensively practical, focusing on the real-world application of proven and effective methods and strategies.



AUTHORS

Dr. Łukasz Bortnik is an experienced Head of Performance and certified S&C coach (NSCA), with a Doctorate in Elite Football Performance (University of Lancashire, UK) and a Master’s in Exercise Science (California University of Pennsylvania, USA). He has worked with elite clubs across Europe, Central America, and the Middle East, focusing on optimizing performance through science, technology, and advanced training methods. His work has contributed to multiple championship titles and individual player success.

Dr. David Rhodes brings over 21 years of experience in football, holding a PhD in Performance and Physical Therapy (Edge Hill University, UK), an MSc in Sports Therapy, and a BSc in Sports Science. As Head of Medicine, Performance & Innovation at Burnley FC, he maintained one of the top five injury records in the Premier League. He has worked in MLS and the Scottish Premiership, authored over 70 peer-reviewed publications, and bridges elite performance practice with applied research.



COURSE DESCRIPTION

The program consists of three progressive levels, each including six online sessions (12 hrs) and one hands-on practical (6 hrs) at the Day1 Performance Facility. Each level costs 15 900 CZK.  Completing all three awards an official Certificate in Modern Physical Preparation in Football.
